看到这封邮件我实在有些无语了,一个2美元左右的金属相框,我都给了FedEx到付账号,要知道这一个相框快递到美国,我们公司至少承担了40美元左右的快递费,完全是样品价值的20倍以上 。难道为了一个样品,我还要跟公司申请50美元样品费?还要打到对方老板的私人账户?我上司会怎么看?即便我向公司提交样品费申请,也需要我上司确认,然后把我上司的确认邮件转到financial部门,再有financial部门的同事提交给财务主管确认,然后财务主管确认后,系统会提交给中国区进口部门的头儿,让他确认,然后再转到财务部门,给payment这个team的leader,然后再由这个leader转给下属的某个同事,再安排汇款 。为了区区50美元样品费,我需要跟这么多主管一个一个去解释,去求爷爷告奶奶,为什么公司要付这笔费用,知道需要多少人力物力?我实在懒得回复,就这样吧 。
第二天一早,Rocky的邮件又来了:
Dear C:
Did you settle the payment? Please give me the bank receipt.

我没有回复,第三天这封邮件一模一样又来了一遍,只是多了一句How are you doing? 我依然没回,第四天还是继续邮件,在How are you后面又多了句Did you receive my emails? 我就被逼着回了一封,其实这时候心里已经很烦躁了 。

The unit price is only USD2.5 as you quoted. But you charged us USD50. That’s ridiculous! And I could not persuade my director.
We will pay for the freight charge, and you should accept the sample cost. That is fair!

This is our company rule. Every customer will pay the sample cost. But we will return it to customer when we receive order. Please don’t worry. If you send me order, we will return back the money.

既然如此,我也觉得没什么好说的,那就这样吧,既然一开始就没法谈拢,那就无需进展下去了 。我就把这个case放在一边 。但是这位Rocky先生是“锲而不舍”,每天邮件“跟进”,就是那么几句话,“样品费付了么?什么时候下单?有没有收到我邮件?等你的回复 。”来来去去就是这些,居然每天邮件催促,能连续催2个月,我也真是佩服他的“毅力” 。
差不多三个月的时候,终于改口了,邮件内容变成,“我们老板同意样品费减半,付25美元就可以,下单后退还” 。我依然没有回复,又这样每天催我一到两遍,多的时候一天四五封邮件催促,一直催到第四个月,终于邮件内容变成“我们老板同意给一个免费的样品,我一个礼拜后寄给你行么?”我真想回复,那你几个月前干嘛去了?你把时间都浪费在每天无休止的催促,浪费我时间,也浪费你自己时间 。还是忍住没有回复,也不想回复,因为觉得一开始就这么麻烦,以后真的合作,会容易那?Rocky先生依然是无休止催促,邮件一天一催,直到我把他拉进垃圾邮箱为止 。
